Lori- Bakhtiary

The Bakhtiari kilim rugs (Lori kilims), along with other weavings, is a major art form of the Bakhtiari tribe, located in Chahar Mahaal and Bakhtiari, Iran. They have been weaving rugs exported around the globe since the early 19th century.

Lori kilim is more famous with the name of Rendy in the nomadic and tribal regions of this province such as Ardal, Lordegan and some parts of Farsan. This kilim has a unique texture because it is woven on the back of the fabric, that is, the weaver starts his texture from the back of the design and cannot see the texture until the end of the texture.
